The inside of the lid has a trademark on the left side that says "TRADE MARK" ove a star with a "C" inside of it. Inside the piece is lined with blue silk. The button on the front closure is circular but has a star with the initials "GC" stamped into the surface. The piece is made of cardboard or heavy paper lining with a green leather covering for the case. Part b) is the leather case for the opera glasses. There are rings of an off-white composite material surrounding the ocular lenses and on the adjustment knob. The ocular and objective lenses are all made of clear glass and are circular in shape. The circular piece surrounding each of the ocular lenses has an inlay of mother-of-pearl on it that has an inscription reading "COLMONT Ft/ PARIS." The piece has a focus knob located between the two barrels.
